Full-Time Shop Floor and Cashier Assistant

Role:

You will be a frontline ambassador for the company assisting customers ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To make sure customer sales are processed correctly through our Epos till system.
  • To process all customer deliveries correctly, deliveries to be booked in and all related paperwork to be accurately filled in and then filed accordingly.
  • To process all methods of payment correctly and using company safety measures provided for cash handling.
  • To maintain the till area, making it is clean and tidy at all times.
  • To make sure the till area is free from spillages or hazards at all times and to use the correct safety signs if required.
  • Make sure all tills have the correct equipment needed for daily trading.
  • To follow the daily shop floor routines.
  • To assist the Shop Floor Manager with any daily tasks contributing to the effectiveness and efficiency of the shop

Weekend & Wednesday Trolley & Compost Runner! (Role could be split between days)

Role:

You will be a frontline ambassador for the company assisting customers loading cars, keeping the car park tidy, returning trolleys to the trolly park

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the car park is kept clear of trollies at all times.
  • To ensure trollies are returned to their designated areas; 2 x rows in front of the shop/ trolley bay by customer toilets/ in front of the showroom by the aquatic plants.
  • To ensure the front of shop is swept at the start of the shift and periodically throughout the day.
  • To make sure the car park is kept free from litter. To litter pick the car park at least once during the shift and whenever needed throughout the shift.
  • To answer all till staff radio calls for compost/aggregates/fencing and to collect from front of shop or outside compost bays.  
  • Assist the customer to their car if help is requested, then return trolley to their bay.
  • Answer any till staff radio requests for customer or staff assistance.
  • Collect Calor Gas from cage outside the front of the shop.
  • Return empty Calor Gas bottles to the designated area.
  • To help manage customer parking flow of car park traffic.
  • To ensure a high level of customer care at all times.
